New York Knicks rookie guard Ron Baker (Citizen Potawatomi) was assigned to the Westchester Knicks of the D-League on Tuesday.
Both Baker and fellow-rookie Marshall Plumlee were sent to Westchester on Tuesday with the expectation that they’ll suit up for the team’s matchup with the Long Island Nets on Wednesday. That means both players will likely be unavailable for the Knicks’ (NBA) matchup with the Nets (NBA), which also falls on Wednesday. Baker, a Wichita State product, has appeared in only two of the Knicks’ six game thus far, both of which were blowout losses.
