by UFC Officials announced Tuesday that Macy Chiasson (5-1) will take on Nicco Montano (4-3) in a bantamweight bout at the UFC’s upcoming Fight Night at Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, scheduled for Feb. 15th, 2020.
Montano (Navajo) won the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship in December of 2017, but she has fought just once since then, losing to Julianna Pena via unanimous decision at UFC Sacramento in July. Chiasson was undefeated as a professional fighter prior to a loss to Lina Lansberg via unanimous decision at UFC Copenhagen in September, which brought her record to 3-1 under the UFC banner. Chiasson has advantages in height and reach as Montano looks to regain her footing in the promotion
