This Friday at The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale, the UFC will crown its inaugural women’s flyweight champion. Nicco Montano (Navajo) will headline when she faces either Roxanne Modafferi or Sijara Eubanks for the belt.
Montano (3-2-0) is undefeated at flyweight, with her sole losses occurring whilst competing as a bantamweight. The 28-year-old believes she is the best in the world at 125-pounds and she’s certainly been proving it thus far on The Ultimate Fighter. Montano has been the underdog for every one of her fights in the competition, yet has put on dominating displays. Her victories include UFC veteran Lauren Murphy, Miesha Tate protegee Montana Stewart and one of the favorites to win the entire competition, Barb Honchak.
Either Modafferi (21-13-0) and Eubanks (2-2-0) will battle it out for the UFC world title on Friday, the challenger will be announced during this Wednesday’s episode of The Ultimate Fighter.
The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale takes place this Friday December 1 from the Park Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The main card headlined by the UFC flyweight title fight will be aired live on Fox Sports 1 from 10pm EST.
