The NVU-Johnson Men’s Golf team started their 2022 season off by hosting a 5-team invitational at Stowe Country Club. In additional to NVU-Johnson, Castleton University, SUNY Canton, Gordon College and Norwich University rounded out the field. The Badgers were led by Freshman Adiance Cheromiah (Laguna Pueblo) who shot the best round of the day of the field with a 1 over par 73 (+1). Cheromiah was joined by fellow freshman Michael Amendola 83 (+11), followed by newcomer Garrett Stevens 85 (+13) and returners Joe Giroux 85 (+13) and Lafe Pottala 97 (+25).
As a team the Badgers scored a score of 326 (+38) on the afternoon which earned them a 3rd place finish.
The team winner of the day where the Castleton University Spartans with a team score of 311 (+23) who edged out Gordon College by 1 stroke to take the crown. Gordon 312 (+24). With the Badgers 324 (+38) for third pulling ahead of fellow NAC member SUNY Canton 330 (+42) and Norwich University 341 (+53) in their inaugural team match.
