by LA GRANDE, Ore. – Northwest University’s Mariah Stacona (Warm Springs Tribe) was named to the Cascade Collegiate Conference 2017 All-Conference team today as announced by the league office. Stacona, a sophomore, earned honorable mention recognition.
Stacona, a sophomore guard from Madras, Ore., was third in scoring for NU with a 10.2 ppg average and started 31 games for the Eagles this season. She led the team in steals with 96 for a 3.09 spg average and was No. 2 on the team with an 87 per cent average from the free throw line. Stacona was ranked No. 5 in the NAIA in steals and No. 8 in steals per game.
