Pima Community College women’s basketball player Jacqulynn Nakai (Navajo) took over in Pima’s win last week and her performance earned her ACCAC Division II Player of the Week on Tuesday for the Week of Nov. 20-26.
Nakai, a freshman guard, scored 34 points on 12 for 15 shooting and almost outscored Tohono O’odham Community College in Pima’s 112-40 win. She also had four rebounds, six steals and seven assists.
Nakai has played and started in all four games this season and is averaging 19 points, 5.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.
The Aztecs are at the West Campus Gym tonight as they host Chandler-Gilbert Community College at 5:30 p.m.
