Rhiannon Nez (Navajo) contributed 11 kills for Rocky Mountain College Volleyball to continue hot streak

BILLINGS, Mont., Sept. 16, 2022- The Battlin’ Bears came out with a ton of energy for the second night straight, this time outpacing University of Providence 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 25-13). 

The first three sets were as tight as could be, with both teams going back and forth throughout each set. All three sets were decided by only 2 points each (25-23, 23-25, 25-23). Rocky was able to peel ahead with a 2-1 lead through 3 sets behind Bella Bryan’s 13 kills through 3 sets. 

Rocky would find separation in the fourth set however, pulling away for a dominant fourth set victory 25-12 to secure the match victory 3-1

“We played really well tonight,” Coach Yang Yang said. “We have some tough competition to go against tomorrow, so I was really proud and encouraged by how the girls played tonight”. 

Rocky was led by 14 kills from Bella Bryan, 39 assists from Blythe Sealey, and 30 digs from Ayla EmbryRhiannon Nez (Navajo) contributed 11 kills to continue her hot streak. 

The Argos were led by Jenna Thorne with 15 kills, 27 digs from Taylor Christensen, and 42 assists from Bella Thompson.
