by Crownpoint, NM – On July 6, 2023, Sarah Dennison of Gallup, NM, signed her letter of intent for the Women’s Basketball Team at Navajo Technical University for the 2023 Fall semester, as her family witnessed. As a student pursuing her Masters’s degree in Dine’ Culture, Language, and Leadership with us here at NTU, Sarah will undergo courses about the Navajo Verb System, Navajo Genesis / Theory, Navajo Government / Law, a thesis, and more all while playing basketball with us as a lady Skyhawk.

Giving the student-athletes to compete close to home,” said George LaFrance, NTU Athletic Director, as he discussed the NTU Women’s Basketball Team, “At NTU, your education is first and sports second. We want our athletes to graduate.”
There are always open player positions for all of our Skyhawk teams, and our NTU athletic department offers Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Cross Country, Cycling, Archery, and Rodeo, which is a sure way to succeed! NTU strives to create and strengthen partnerships that can impact their students’ higher education success.
