The Skylights snapped their losing skid and escaped with a conference victory Saturday night in Lewiston, ID. Three seniors scored in double figures and the Skylights shot an outstanding 18-21 from the free throw line which kept them within striking distance the whole game. LC managed to regain the lead :24 seconds later, and the Skylights would not lead again until :14 seconds remained in the game. LC turned the ball over on their ensuing possession and McCormick capitalized again on another three point shot, tying the game at 22. The Lady Warriors were able to rally and take a seven point lead in to halftime. It looked as if LC would take an eight point lead into the fourth quarter, but McCormick hurled a 3/4 court pass from the baseline to Brandy Lambourne who caught the ball well behind the three point line, turned, and launched up a three that banked in at the buzzer, cutting the LC lead to five. The Skylights were down by as much as seven halfway through the fourth quarter when McCormick, Filius and Lambourne all scored to cut the LC lead to one at 56-55 with 1:34 to go in the game.
