by Siena women’s lacrosse’s freshman Lynnzee Miller (Six Nations Mohawk) was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference on Monday. Miller helped lead Siena to a 2-0 week as the Saints swept their recent road trip to Georgia, defeating Mercer and Kennesaw State.
Miller had an impressive opening week to her collegiate career. In the Saints’ 17-7 victory over the Bears, the freshman from Oshweken, Ontario scored six goals to pace the Siena’s offense. She was not done in the scoring department as she then added a hat trick in the win over Kennesaw State. The six goals in her debut was just one off the program’s single game record. She also tallied five groundballs and also won a pair of draw controls.
Miller and the Siena women’s lacrosse team returns to the field Wednesday when the Saints travel to play UMass-Lowell at 3 p.m.
