by FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – September 27, 2014 – Christian Gering (San Felipe Pueblo) led the Fort Lewis College men’s cross country team to a top 10 finish at the University of Minnesota Roy Griak Cross Country Invitational Saturday morning, held at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn.
The Skyhawks earned 301 points for a 10th place finish, besting 23 other teams in the 8K race. The Skyhawks women’s team finished 13th overall with 384 points (35 teams).
Gering finished 25th overall with an 8K time of 26.48. Gering was followed by the Skyhawks Garrett Sapakoff (34th, 27:12), Joey Brenner (65th, 27:49), Tate Lagasca (76th, 28:01), William Scoggins (101th, 28:25), Michael Walker (106th, 28:28) and Derek Laue (156th, 29:20).
