STATESBORO, Ga. – The Marshall women’s golf team finished the first round and made it through about 12 holes in the second, before play was halted an account of darkness at the Strutter Gus Invitational on Sunday.
Play will resume Monday morning with a shotgun start at 8:30, as teams will finish the second round and then play the third. Live scoring is provided through Golfstat.com.
Players dealt with a very wet course after days of rain in the southern Georgia region. The Herd finished the first round, its first competition since March 10 of 2020, in 12th place.
Senior Stormy Randazzo (Seminole/Mvskoke Creek) leads for the Herd in a tie for eighth place. Fellow senior Kerri Parks is next, tied for 23rd.
44th-ranked Illinois State was the team-leader after the first round with an overall plus-22. Four players are tied for the top spot after scoring a plus-3, 75.
