Terae Briggs (Crow) signs professional contract in Sweden

RENO, Nev. – Former Wolf Pack women’s basketball standout Terae Briggs (Crow Tribe), represented by CMW Sports Management, has signed her first professional contract to play for Mark Basket Marbo in Sweden.

“Well it’s official and the wait is over, I am going to Sweden to play professional basketball!” said Briggs. “I am beyond excited to begin my rookie year!”

The club is located in Kinna, Sweden, a town comprised of approximately 15,000 people that can be found in the southwest region of the country. Also known as BK Marbo, the club competes in the Damligan, Sweden’s domestic women’s basketball league.

In her three years with the Wolf Pack, after transferring in 2016 from United Tribes Technical College, Briggs collected 993 points and 692 rebounds, averaging more than 10 points and over seven rebounds per game. Her career rebounding total ranks seventh in program history, while her career field goal percentage of 51.2 ranks fourth and her 279 made free throws is sixth.

Briggs had arguably the best of her three seasons her senior year, for which she earned an All-Mountain West honorable mention. During that season she ranked fifth in the conference in rebounding (7.8 rpg), eighth in scoring (13.9 ppg), was fourth in field goal percentage (52.6 percent) and third in double-doubles with 10. In 31 games played in 2018-19, Briggs scored in double figures in all but eight, including six 20-point performances and a career-high 30-point game at Utah State.

Briggs will make the more than 5,000 mile journey to Sweden this Friday.
