INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) The Green Bay women’s basketball team landed three players on the Horizon League Second-Team All-League, as Tesha Buck, Megan Lukan and Mehryn Kraker were each recognized for their play this season. Lukan also landed on the All-Defensive Team for the second straight season.

Despite running away with its 17th-straight Horizon League Championship and finishing with a three-game lead in the final standings at 15-1, the Phoenix (25-4, 15-1) was again left without a player on the First Team for the second-consecutive year. Green Bay had placed at least one player on the First Team in 15-striaght years prior to last season, speaking of the balance and attack the Phoenix employed the last two years.

The All-League recognition is a first for all three players, while both Buck and Kraker received All-Freshman league honors last season.

No. 1 seed Green Bay opens the 2015 Horizon League Tournament on Wednesday (Mar. 11), playing host to either No. 8 Milwaukee or No. 9 Valparaiso at the Kress Center at 7 p.m.

Tesha Buck
Second-Team All-League
Buck was recognized as the league’s Freshman of the Year last year, and finished second on the team in scoring this season with 11.4 PPG. Buck also ranked second in rebounding (4.8 RPG) and led the team in 3-pointers made with 54. The sophomore started in all 29 games and has reached double figures in seven-straight games to end the regular season. Buck led the Phoenix in scoring in eight games this season and finished 14th in the league in scoring during conference play.
