The National Football League (NFL) has selected 7 Native young men as ambassadors to their newly organized Native American Youth Football Ambassador Program

ORLANDO, FL- Seven young men for the Seventh Generation, the NFL has selected seven Native young men as ambassadors to their newly organized Native American Youth Football Ambassador Program. They are as follows:
● Clayton Franklin-Kashia Band of Pomo Indians (CA)
● Edward Onoo Po Hill-Pauma Band of Luiseno Indians (CA)
● Dean Holyan-Navajo Nation (AZ)
● Keynan Arnold-Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma (OK)
● Jhadi Harjo-Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma (OK)
● Frederick Fox-Three Affiliated Tribes (ND)
● Tyler Ogimaabinez Garza Moose-Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe (MN)

How they were selected: These seven young men were selected on many different levels of accolades, character, athletic ability, academic success, community, ceremonial, and tribal involvement. They are all pillars in their communities and radiate an exemplary disposition. Within the group they are United States Marine Corps Semper Fidelis All-American Program nominees, National Honors Society members, Sportsmanship award winners, Leadership award winners, multi sport athletes, provided testimony in front of the U.S. Congress, Peer counselors, and are all exemplary young men.

Goals of this program:
1. Celebrate current Native American football players throughout the country
2. Equip current Native American football players with the tools to serve as leaders and stewards of growing the game in the Community

What are their responsibilities are during the weekend of the Pro Bowl?

Agenda:
Thursday January 25
Youth Media Night (Visa Athletic Center, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM)
Role: Native American Ambassadors will attend youth media night and can be interviewed by current and former NFL Players.
Friday, January 26
NFL FLAG Championships (ESPN Wide World of Sports, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM)
Role: Native American Ambassadors will attend NFL FLAG Championships and learn about the high level of competition in NFL FLAG. They can engage with players, coaches, and organizers to learn more about FLAG in the hopes they further develop the sport within their Community.
NFL Native American Ambassador Meeting (Location TBD)
Role: Native American Ambassadors will meet with NFL Leadership to discuss how to grow the game and discuss Community needs
Saturday, January 27
High School Football Day (ESPN Wide World of Sports, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
Role: Native American Ambassadors will attend and participate in High School Day, view Pro Bowl practice as well as the Florida High School Girls Varsity Exhibition.
Sunday, January 28
Pro Bowl Game (Camping World Stadium, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)
Role: Attend and enjoy the Pro Bowl Game

What their future responsibilities are:
Maintain their upstanding status in their communities and on their respective teams. Continue to be role models to younger Native athletes in their communities and across the nation.
