For the second time this season, the Kansas Jayhawks have swept the Big 12 volleyball weekly awards as Tiana Dockery (Navajo Nation) claims the Offensive Player of the Week with Cassie Wait earning the defensive honor and Ainise Havili garnering the Rookie of the Week.
The Jayhawks swept the trio of honors during the week of Oct. 20, marking just the fourth time one school had claimed all three honors in the same season. Kansas becomes the first school to accomplish the feat twice in the same year (Nebraska, Oct. 27, 2008; Iowa State, Nov. 16, 2009; Missouri, Sept. 7, 2010; and Kansas, Oct. 20 & Nov. 10, 2014).
This marks the third Big 12 weekly award for Dockery, who won Offensive Player of the Week on one occasion last year and a Rookie of the Week honor in 2012. Wait earns her second Defensive Player of the Week selection this season while Havili picks up her third Rookie recognition.
