McClain led the conference in rebounding, steals, and FG percentage in leading the Thunderbirds to first 20 win season since 2002
Rob McClain (Mvskoke Creek) has been named to the Mon-Dak All Conference first team. McClain is from Red Lake, MN by way of Red Lake High School. The versatile forward led the Thunderbirds and the conference in many statistical categories. McClain finished 6th in the conference in scoring at 18.2 points per game and led the conference in rebounding with 10.7 a game. He also led the conference in field goal percentage shooting 65.8% and steals with 3.5 a game. McClain had 14 double doubles this season including a school record 23 rebound game.
Other players on the first team included the Most Valuable Player Melvin Newbern, Jr. (NDSCS), Simon Falokun (DCC), Cedric Boone (LRSC), Sam Baker (NDSCS), and Brent Finn (DCC). The second team was Austin Slaughter (BSC), Johnnie Turner III (NDSCS), Brody Nieuwsma (BSC), Mychael Paulo (WSC), and Tyrel Harper (DCC).
