Celebrating two decades of Oklahoma’s best high school basketball, the 20th Oklahoma Indian All-State Basketball Games will be held 6:00 p.m. June 20th at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville. “We had no way of knowing that an event we started 20 years ago to highlight the accomplishments of some of Oklahoma’s finest high school athletes and to encourage them to pursue college educations would last two decades,” said Dr. Carol Conner, co-founder of the Games. “We are as excited today as we were 20 years ago to announce this year’s first and second teams”.
In the last 20 years Indian All-State has featured over 900 of the best athletes in Oklahoma and has become a coveted honor among players, coaches, families and Oklahoma’s 39 Tribes. We know that many of these players have gone on to succeed in college, both as players and students; and that many are now in careers including coaching at the high school and college level. “Carol and I have been honored to have seen these young people succeed and to have been a small part of that”, said Dr. Joe Conner, co-founder. “If you would like to see some of the best high school basketball in Oklahoma we invite you to come to the games and help us celebrate 20 years of basketball excellence.”

My daughter was an Oklahoma Indian All-Stater her senior year of high school! 2012, Antonia Maria Belindo! MountainView-Gotebo High School! Also served as our Kiowa Tribal Princess that year too! Very proud that we honor our Native youth! As in Oklahoma they recieve very little recognition for their athletic abilities! Seems like Native kids have to do it twice as hard to get any recognition in their journey! We all know struggles of what it takes! Ah-ho! For sharing this!
Can’t believe not one girl from Anadarko didn’t make it on this team. They’ve only been to the State tournament their whole high school career, winning a State championship and two State runner ups.
