HUTCHINSON/BUFFALO LAKE, Minn. – The Minnesota Morris women’s golf team finished fifth at the Viking Invite Friday, hosted by Bethany Lutheran. The Cougars then placed third at the BLC Invite Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED – Viking Invite – Friday
- The Cougars shot a team score of 409 (+125) to finish fifth.
- Payton Sierra (Oglala Lakota) tallied a season-best score of 88 (+17) to tie for third.
- Kaya Quinn tied for 10th with a score of 95 (+24).
- Brittany Lormis shot a 110 (+39) to tie for 22nd.
- Kim Novotny finished 25th with a score of 116 (+45).
HOW IT HAPPENED – BLC Invite – Saturday
- The Cougars shot a team score of 382 (+94) to finish third.
- Sierra tallied a score 89 (+17) to tie for fifth.
- Shelby Maloney finished seventh with a score of 91 (+19).
- Tori Grates tied for 13th with a score of 95 (+23).
- Skylar Tumbleson posted a score of 101 (+29) to tie for 17th.
- Brittany Lormis shot a 107 (+35) to finish 24th.
- Kim Novotny finished 27th with a score of 111 (+39).
