Stephon Hall (Mvskoke Creek) tied a career high 32 points in loss to MACU

CHICKASHA, Okla. – The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (6-6, 1-2 SAC) suffered a disappointing 86-98 loss against No. 3 ranked Mid-America Christian University (11-0, 3-0 SAC). 

The Drovers started the game very well and they were able to take a 49-43 lead into halftime. 

Following halftime, MACU would get hot and start the second half with an 11-1 run to take a 57-50 lead with 16 minutes remaining in regulation. The Drovers and Evangels traded buckets for most of the second half, with MACU’s lead sticking at five or six until the five-minute mark, when MACU would create some separation and close out the game.

Stephon Hall (Mvskoke Creek) tied a career high with 32 points, and the sophomore also added three assists and three steals. Cameron Hines (JR/Ft. Cobb, OK) concluded with 14 points, three rebounds, and a pair of assists. Moses Byekwaso (JR/London, England) and Trenton Sandifer (JR/Dallas, TX) each added 10 points in the loss. Colen Gaynor (JR/Berlin, MD) contributed nine points and 12 rebounds, while Tre’veon Ellis (SO/Oklahoma City, OK) also scored nine points and four assists. 

The Drovers will now head into winter break and return to action on Thursday, January 2 when they head to Siloam Springs, Ark. To face No. 12 John Brown University at 7:45 PM
