Rosalie Fish (Cowlitz Tribe) Helps DMR Team Win the Championship at the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Rosalie Fish, Nadesha Wallace, Lilia Alvarez and Chloe Lenoir picked up the first national title for Iowa Central at the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships Friday morning.

The quartet clocked a time of 12:06.58 to claim the distance medley relay from inside the Robert W. Plaster Center. 

Fish, who is headed to the University of Washington in the fall to continue her career, started off the relay before handing the baton to Wallace. Alvarez ran the third leg and Lenoir anchored the unit across the finish line in first. 

The Tritons topped Iowa Western’s relay, which finished in 12:15.39, with Cloud County placing third in 12:17.62. 

Iowa Central earned 10 team points for winning the race, placing them in first early on during the two-day event.
