by Lincoln, NE – The Hastings College women’s cross country team took part in the Greeno/Dirksen Invite where the Lady Broncos finished second and were the top finishing NAIA team at the meet.
Jilee Golus (Standing Rock Sioux) finished ninth with a time of 18:48 which is also her best time of the year. Madison Gerken (SO/McCool Junction, NE) ran her best time as well finishing 12th in a time of 19:02. Veronica Pinkerton (SO/Beatrice, NE) placed 15th in a time of 19:05 which is a personal best as well.
Shania Santos (FR/Marana, AZ) ran yet another great meet setting a new personal record of 18:35 which was good enough for sixth place and the top NAIA runner. This time also places her 10th all-time on the women’s cross country list at Hastings College.
Hastings will now turn its attention to the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival held on Oct. 2 down in Fayettville, AR.
