Two consistently strong performances have earned Bacone College (Oklahoma) sophomore Malia Jacobs the Continental Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award.
The guard averaged 17 points and 7.5 rebounds as the Warriors split two games for the week. She scored 18 points on 6 of 15 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds in a 67-66 loss at league opponent Crowley’s Ridge College (Arkansas) last Saturday. The Oneida, Wisconsin, native made two of her three 3-point field goal attempts in the game.
Jacobs scored 16 points in a 69-57 win at Ecclesia College (Arkansas) on January 19.
On the season, Jacobs leads Bacone in scoring at 11.5 points per game this winter.
