TULSA, Okla., Jan. 24, 2023 – The Oklahoma City Blue (3-8) was defeated by the Grand Rapids Gold (3-8), 113-99, on Tuesday afternoon at the BOK Center. Thunder two-way player Lindy Waters III scored 20 points on 7-of-13 FGs to go along with four rebounds, five assists, and five steals.
“I’m proud of our effort and I thought we made a lot of plays to have a chance to win the game.” Head Coach Kameron Woods said. “We are excited for the chance to play this team again tomorrow.”
After trailing by as many as 13 in the second quarter, the Blue trimmed its deficit to 53-47 at halftime. A back-and-forth third quarter ended with Grand Rapids maintaining a 75-67 lead and despite multiple comeback attempts by the Blue, the Gold extended its lead and closed out the victory handily.
Scotty Hopson poured in a team-high 21 points off the bench on 7-of-10 shooting while teammate Jaden Shackelford added 16 points.
Adonis Arms posted a 29-point, 13-rebound double-double to lead the way for Grand Rapids. Teammate Grant Golden posted another double-double with 19 points and 18 rebounds.
