Lexy Keys (Cherokee) Adds 12 Points as the Oklahoma State Cowgirls Grind Out Road Win At TCU, 77-65

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State’s women’s basketball team finished off a season sweep of TCU on Saturday afternoon with a 77-65 win in front of 2,458 fans inside Schollmaier Arena.

The Cowgirls improved to 16-7 overall and 6-5 in Big 12 play after using a big fourth-quarter run for the second game in a row to emerge victorious.

OSU hit 50 percent of its shots from the floor, while holding the Horned Frogs to a 5-of-13 effort to race out to a 19-12 lead through the first 10 minutes.

Despite the Cowgirls shooting 58 percent in the second quarter, TCU was able to pull even after hitting nine of its 14 (64.3 percent) of its shots in the period.
The score was knotted at 33 apiece at the half.

OSU used an 8-0 spurt to start the fourth quarter before the Horned Frogs battled back to cut the margin to one on a pair of occasions midway through the frame.

TCU would take the lead at 51-50 with 2:24 to go on a layup before the two teams traded the lead on the next two possessions. The Horned Frogs would convert a 3-point play with 1:22 on the clock to grab a 54-52 lead.

Terryn Milton grabbed a board and converted a putback at the buzzer to tie the score once again heading into the final frame.

OSU would score the first 14 points of the final quarter to lead by double figures for the first time in the game. TCU would connect on a 3-pointer with five minutes to remaining for its first points of the period.

Taylen Collins layup with three minutes to go would stretch the lead to 15 at 72-57 and TCU would get no closer than 10 the rest of the way.

Naomie Alnatas would lead the way for OSU with 20 points, while Collins added 17. Lexy Keys and Milton each added 12.
