by KANSAS CITY, Mo – A low-scoring third quarter set Kansas City Women’s Basketball (7-21, 3-14 Summit) back against South Dakota State (24-5, 17-0 Summit) falling in an 86-52 game. The Roos were led by Manna Mensah who scored 15 points and E’Lease Stafford with 11. Sanaa’ St. Andre had nine points off the bench.
South Dakota State maintained an efficient offensive approach finishing 54.8% from the field on 62 attempts. The Roos’ drought continued with only a 37.9% shooting clip. On top of this, a 20-point scoring swing in the third quarter opened up the Jackrabbits to coast with a 35-point lead.
