KANSAS CITY, Mo – In a tight game, Kansas City Women’s Basketball (7-22, 3-15 Summit) fell to South Dakota (14-15, 10-8 Summit) 74-73. The Roos played their hearts out on Senior Day, but were edged by a USD layup with 5.2 seconds left. KC fought through the adversity of only having seven players as three were missed due to illness.
Kansas City played with great energy, finishing with a 52.8% shooting clip. They battled to the final buzzer with three players finishing in double figures. Manna Mensah led all scorers with 23 points, followed by E’Lease Stafford scoring 20. Sanaa’ St. Andre was working on both sides of the court, ending with 17 points and five steals.
