For a second consecutive season, the Six Nations Pro-Fit Chiefs are Mann Cup champions.

With the win, the Chiefs capture their second-consecutive national senior A indoor lacrosse championship series 4-2.

“This is incredible,” Under Armour Player of the Game and Mann Cup Most Valuable Player Brandon Miller said. “This is a real team effort. From the ownership all the way to the support staff. This is a team win, and I couldn’t be happier to share it with everyone.”

Jeff Shattler Colin Boucher and Kasey Beirnes each scored first-period goals, while Derek Lowe responded for the Shamrocks.

In the second period, the Chiefs kept going on the offensive, with Colin Doyle, Johnny Powless, Cody Jamieson and Craig Point scoring singles.

Corey Small and Greg Harnett responded for the Western Lacrosse Association champs.

Shattler and Beirnes put the game on ice in the third period, with Chris Wardle scoring the lone Shamrocks goal.

Cody Hagedorn made 31 saves in the loss.

Once again Miller was amazing between the pipes, making 34 saves to earn the win the Player of the Game and the Mann Cup Most Valuable Player awards. Despite winning the award, Miller insisted that the entire defence come to accept the award with him.

“Winning never gets old,” Chiefs coach Rich Kilgour said. “It’s always an amazing feeling. My hat goes off to the Shamrocks. They’re a great team and had a great season.”
