ThunderWolves Sweep Skyhawks on Senior Night; Senior Heather Danny (Navajo) Leads FLC with 17 assists

DURANGO, Colo. – –The Fort Lewis College volleyball team fell 3-0 Saturday night at home against Colorado State University-Pueblo (25-20, 25-18, 25-22).

The Skyhawks gave special recognition to their five seniors prior to the match on Senior Night: Ciara Krening, Tehya Smith, Heather Danny (Navajo), Stephani Sonka and Ashley Wells.

Wells recorded 12 kills and 12 digs and hit .143 for the match. Danny notched 17 assists, three digs and three kills while Krening chipped in 12 assists and five digs. Shelby Lehman tallied five kills without committing an error on 10 attempts. She also added four blocks.

Colorado State-Pueblo was led by Moran Wilkening with 13 kills and Mariangel Perez’ 12 kills. The ThunderWolves blocked 11 of the Skyhawks attempts, six of which came from Oni Lattin (three solo, six assisted blocks).

Fort Lewis will travel to Western New Mexico University on Friday and New Mexico Highlands on Saturday.
