Aaliyah Nye (Pottawatomi/Gun Lake) Led Alabama with 17 Points to get their 20th Win of the Season

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –   The Alabama women’s basketball team captured its 20th win of the season in an 88-70 victory over Vanderbilt Thursday night. The win also marked UA’s ninth victory in SEC play as the Crimson Tide reached the conference milestone for the first time since 1997-98.

Five Alabama (20-6, 9-4 SEC) players finished in double figures, paced by a 17-point performance from Aaliyah NyeBrittany Davis tallied 16 points, eight assists, five boards and five steals, while Hannah Barber tallied 14 points, six assists and two steals. Both Sarah Ashlee Barker and Megan Abrams added 10 points to the win, with Barker also recording five boards and five steals and Abrams securing three assists off the bench.

Vanderbilt (11-16, 2-11 SEC) was led by a 26-point, 11-rebound performance from Sacha Washington. Ciaja Harbison recorded 18 points and four assists while Marnel Garraud posted 14 points, five boards and three assists in the loss.
