The Pima Community College women’s basketball team (12-3) took to the road and pick up a non-conference victory on Thursday in Glendale.
- The No. 13 ranked Aztecs started off 2025 with an 85-46 win at Arizona Christian University JV for their third straight win.
- The Aztecs set the tone by dominating the first quarter outscoring the Firestorm 29-8. Pima took a 45-21 lead into the locker room and never lost a quarter in the game.
- Freshman Kiley Sours-Miller scored a team-high 13 points to go with eight rebounds and two blocks.
- Freshman Ahdiayh Chee (Dobson HS) finished with 12 points off the bench as she went 4 for 8 from the field and 3 for 5 from three-point range.
- Sophomore Rori Hoffmeyer (Cibola HS) was the third player to score in double figures as she posted 11 points. She also added eight rebounds and two assists.
- Freshman Lucy Land got the start and finished with eight points and eight rebounds while sophomore Mattanaya Vital (Amphitheater HS) scored eight points after going 4 for 6 from the field. Freshman Kennedi Niemann also contributed with eight points to go with two assists and two steals.
- Freshman Melicia Nelson (Window Rock HS) had six points, eight rebounds and seven assists and sophomore Reece Niemann was 2 for 3 from downtown with seven points. Freshman Cassie Coolidge (Sahuaro HS) closed it out with five points, four rebounds and three assists.
- The Aztecs went 7 for 15 from beyond the arc and had 24 assists on 33 made field goals.
