Alie Jimerson (Cayuga Nation) ranks fourth on No. 19 Albany’s lineup with 49 points. More impressively, most of these points have come on assists. The rookie’s 15 goals and 34 assists have helped the Great Danes remain in the top 20 ranks for the majority of this season, and the freshman did not disappoint in last week’s action.
Jimerson tallied five goals and nine assists through three games last week. Against Dartmouth, Jimerson dished out two assists and followed that up with a career-best seven point performance (3g, 4a) against Binghamton. The freshman then followed that up with five points (2g, 3a) against the Syracuse Orange on Sunday afternoon.
Jimerson ranks sixth nationally with 2.27 assists per game. Additionally, she has picked up 17 ground balls, 11 draw controls and caused two turnovers on the season. Albany returns to action this weekend, hosting UMBC on Saturday afternoon at 12:00pm.
