by NORFOLK, Neb. – The Northeast Community College women’s basketball team returned home their first home contest of the spring semester Wednesday night at the Cox Activities Center in Norfolk against Iowa Central Community College. The Tritons took the battle by a final score of 70-63.
Northeast (6-9, 3-4 ICCAC) shot 46.2-percent from the three-point line in the showdown compared to just 7.1-percent from Iowa Central and was led in scoring by Allison Richard (Pine Ridge, S.D.) as she put in 28 points for the Hawks. Northeast was able to pull ahead by three in the first quarter, but the Tritons dominated the third quarter to capture the victory.
