Briana Clah’s (Navajo) Career Game of 34 Points Leads Fort Lewis Skyhawks to 78-66 Home Win

DURANGO, Colo. – December 17, 2016 – Briana Clah (Navajo)scored a career high 34 points after making a career high six three-pointers to lead the Fort Lewis College women’s basketball team to 78-66 win against Westminster College Saturday night at Whalen Gymnasium.

The win is the Skyhawks third straight victory as they improve to 8-2 overall and 4-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Griffins move to 5-5 overall and 3-3 in the RMAC.

Clah finished the game making 13-of-17 field goals and 6-of-8 from behind the arc. She also added a game high six assists and blocked two shots.

Ande Lampert chipped in 13 points after making 6-of-10 field goals.  Five of her six rebounds came on the defensive glass.

Kayla Herrera led both teams with nine rebounds.  She also tallied nine points and four assists.

The Skyhawks led for more than 36 minutes and led by as many as 20 points in the second half.

Solid shooting was a key factor in the Skyhawks fourth win in five games as they netted 32-of-64 from the floor and 7-of-17 from long range.

FLC outrebounded the Griffins by five, 42-37, and outscored WC in the paint 28-18.

Fort Lewis will play their final game of the calendar year on Monday when they play host to Western New Mexico University at 5 p.m. in a non-conference game.
