OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women’s golf finished their season at the KCAC Championships. The Braves finished in fourth place with a combined two-round score of 716, round one score of 367 and round two of 349.
Britanie Wacoche (Cherokee Nation) finished her career as a Brave by finishing tied for fifth at the KCAC Championships. Wacoche shot a 168, round one score of an 80 and round two of an 88. Wacoche was named to the All-Tournament team and earned All-KCAC honors. The requirements for All-Tournament team were to finish in the top 10 from the 36 holes at the KCAC Championships. For the All-KCAC honors, Wacoche finished in the top 10 from the combined scores from the Buffalo Dunes course and the Crestview course, which was the first leg of the KCAC Championships.
Head Coach Wendell Smith had this to say about Britanie Wacoche concluding her career as a Brave- “Britanie Wacoche will graduate tied with Kaitlyn Walker as the most decorated lady Braves golfer in school history. She has earned all conference three years, was an NAIA scholar athlete the last two years, and was named our Champion of Character student athlete”
