It was Brownotter’s first meet as the top finisher for the Bison. She was NDSU’s No. 2 finisher at both the Bison Open and Stanford Invitational earlier this season.
Brownotter (Bismarck, N.D.) completed the five-kilometer course in 17:45.95. NDSU junior Taylor Janssen was close behind, taking fourth place in 17:52.99.

NDSU finished third in the team standings with a limited squad. The Bison held junior Erin Teschuk and freshman Emma Kusch Dahle out of competition. South Dakota won the women’s team title.
NDSU will race next at the UND Ron Pynn Invitational in Grand Forks on Oct. 17.
