HONOLULU, HI (March 4, 2015) – On the eve of the Pacific West Conference Basketball Tournament, the PacWest Office released the 2014-15 All-PacWest Women’s Basketball Teams. Indian Country’s own Chenise Peone (Colville Tribes) was named to the the All-PacWest Third Team.
Peone was selected to the All-PacWest Team after an outstanding season. The Inchelium, WA native can do it all. She averages 13.7 points (15th), 8.3 rebounds (9th), and 2.4 assists (23rd) per contest. She is deadly from deep averaging 2.4 long balls a game (5th). She also makes her presence known on defense; the senior ranks ninth in blocked shots (.8) and 18th in steals (1.8).
The Sharks now await the winner of the Academy of Art vs. Azusa Pacific game. HPU tip off is at 1:45 pm PST on Friday in Irvine, CA on Friday.
