by COOXOOEII BLACK of Colorado College, a sophomore forward from Lander, Wyo., has been named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, February 18th.
Black scored a career-high 29 points to lead the injury-plagued Colorado College men’s basketball team to an 89-80 victory over the University of Dallas in the regular-season finale. The win helped CC clinch a bid to the 2018 SCAC Men’s Basketball Championship this weekend.
Doing his best to make up for the loss of senior forward Chris Martin, Black connected on 12 of 14 shots from the floor and completed his eighth double-double of the season with a game-high 12 rebounds.
The sophomore forward is tied for second in the SCAC averaging 8.7 rebounds per game and tied for 11th at 15.2 points per game.
