by MELBOURNE, Fla. – After a solid of day of racing at Boukaert Farms just outside Atlanta, Ga., Embry-Riddle cross country runner, Tayan Benson was tabbed as the Sunshine State Conference men’s Runners of the Week.
Benson picks up his first weekly award after pacing the Eagles at the Georgia Tech XC Invite, finishing the 8K course in fifth place with his time of 25:37.76. In a field of 154 runners, Benson helped the Eagles to 37 points, finishing ahead of Division I programs like GT, South Alabama and Emory.
