SeniorĀ Sandy Cohen III (Oneida Nation) led GB with a game-high 24 points and 7 rebounds, also adding 3 blocks and 3 assists. GB held the lead for the entire second half, and led by as many as 10 points at various points. Wright State had the ball under its own basket with 1.5 seconds left and trailing by 3, but PJ Pipes guarded Billy Wampler’s 3-point attempt and it came up short to give GB the win.

With Oakland defeating UIC and Detroit Mercy beating IUPUI, paired with GB’s win over Wright State, the Phoenix was able to lock up a home game. GB is now 9-1 at the Resch Center this season, and it will play its regular season finale there on Saturday at 12 noon against Northern Kentucky before hosting the Quarterfinal game. Cohen will be recognized before the game as the program’s only senior.
