Student-athletes from three Continental Athletic Conference volleyball programs have earned Player of the Week honors after strong performances in last weekend’s CAC Classic at Haskell Indian Nations University (Kansas).
Haskell Indian Nations sophomore Tressa Jim is the Attacker of the Week, Florida National University junior Ivette Sandoval is the Setter of the Week and Spartanburg Methodist College (South Carolina) sophomore Hana Vucinic is the Defender of the Week.
Jim tallied 58 kills across six matches against CAC opponents. The Mayetta, Kansas, native had 15 kills in a 3-1 loss to Fisher College (Massachusetts) last Saturday. The outside hitter opened the week with 11 kills in a 3-0 triumph against Fisher last Friday. Jim also reached double digits with 10 kills in a 3-0 setback to Spartanburg Methodist to open Saturday’s action.
