ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The UMN Morris men’s basketball team (2-7, 0-2 UMAC) dropped a 91-76 decision at Crown (2-8. 1-2 UMAC) Wednesday. James Pendleton (Dakota) led the Cougars with a 17-point outing.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Storm jumped out to a 13-0 lead over the first 3:52 of action.
- With 2:26 to go in the opening half, Crown built its largest lead of the game at 47-24.
- After the first 20 minutes of play, the Storm held a 55-35 lead over the Cougars.
- The first half saw the Storm go 11-for-22 from the 3-point line.
- The Cougars were able to bring the deficit to seven points with 9:17 left in regulation but the Storm responded with a 7-0 run.
NOTABLES
- Along with his 17 points, Pendleton led the Cougars in assists with seven and recorded five rebounds.
- Ian Carlin finished the game with 15 points.
- Kenneth Riley chipped in 13 points, while Dillon Haider recorded 11 points.
- Jaret Johnson led the Cougars in rebounds with seven.
- The UMN Morris bench outscored the Crown bench, 22-3.
