by Woodland, CA- ACU Softball jumped into GSAC action with a doubleheader against William Jessup on Friday. The Firestorm dropped the first game before answering with a second game win. Junior Jamilia Cosay (Apache/Navajo) was 6-9 on the day highlighted by a 5-5 performance in game two.

- Porras (5-0) kept her shutout in tact even with allowing base runners in six of the seven innings

“We struggled in game one with some mental base running mistakes and we did not pitch as well as we would like so those things put us behind. It was nice to play our style of ball in game two and pitch, hit and run well.”
