(Lérida, Spain) – Former University of Louisville standout Jude Schimmel arrives today for Spain’s Cadi La Seau women’s basketball team and will be put in the point guard position.
Expected to debut this weekend wearing her #22 uniform for the first match of the second round which will be played on Saturday 7 January at 18:00 at the Palace of Sports in that CADI LA SEU.
At Louisville, the 5-foot-6 guard averaged 7.3 points, 3.8 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game and helped lead Louisville into the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament her senior year.
Schimmel played three seasons at Franklin High School in Oregon, winning 6A first team all-state honors as a senior.
She also spent the pre-season with the WNBA’s Dallas Wing’s last season before being cut just before the season.
