Four months ago, college basketball teams all across the country began their quest for a conference championship and then for one of the most sought after spots, a spot in the NCAA’s and other post-season March Madness tournaments.
For Indian Country, the representation on the some of the nations best college basketball programs continues to grow and this year will be no different.
Below are a list of Native American players who will be participating in the various March Madness tournament as well as some players who will be playing in NCAA Division 1 women’s and men’s tournaments.

- Kamaka Hepa (Inupiat) – University of Texas – NIT
- Isaiah Poor Bear-Chandler (Oglala Lakota) – Wichita State -NIT
- Sandy Cohen, III (Oneida) – University of Wisconsin-Green Bay – CIT
- RS David Wingett (Winnebago – University of Memphis – NIT
- RS Brad Greene (Paiute/Shoshone) – University of California-Irvine – NCAA
