White Shields Jesse White was born with a birth defect but White doesn’t make excuses, he see’s it as a blessing from God.
Jesse knows there are younger kids looking up to him who may only have 1 hand as well and there might be people telling them they can’t do things, but he wants to show the kids they can do whatever they want if they work for it and believe in themselves
Jesse White is bigger then basketball and he has done so much for the youth such as basketball camps and motivating the kids. He is always willing to take pictures and sign autographs for the community and takes pride in being a student athlete by having good grades as well
White was named Mr. Basketball and senior athlete of the year this past season and has gotten a lot of awards throughout his high school career:
• North Dakota Mr Basketball 2020-2021•2x scoring champ• Senior athlete of the year• All state (cross country senior year) 16th place• Region 8 athlete of the year• Region 8 title• 4x All state player•4x All District player•300 + rebounds •200+ assists•250+ steals • White Shields first Mr. basketball finalist
White became well known and grew a large fan base during his senior year and will be remembered as one of North Dakota’s most exciting players to watch. Jesse got a shout out and autographed game shoes from Kyrie Irving (Standing Rock Sioux). White committed to the North Dakota School Of Science and will be teaming up with Micah Swallow out of Rapid City, South Dakota. His goal is to play D-1 basketball and he is taking the junior college route first.
Congratulations Jesse. A True Native Warrior.
