OKLAHOMA CITY (April 17, 2019) – Oklahoma Christian’s Daelyn Denny (Creek/Seminole/Navajo) was named as the Heartland Conference’s softball hitter of the week for the first time in her career.
Denny, a sophomore outfielder from Owasso, had perhaps the best individual week of her collegiate career last week, hitting .571 in the Eagles’ five games, a pair of losses at St. Edward’s (Texas) and a loss, win and loss against St. Mary’s (Texas).
She had three multi-hit games during the week, going 3 for 4 with two RBIs in an 8-5 win over St. Mary’s on Friday and hitting two doubles with three RBIs in an 11-6 loss in the series finale against the Rattlers.
