STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s Trevor Boone (Osage Nation) has been named to the 2019 ABCA/Rawlings All-Midwest Region First Team by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Boone posted impressive numbers at the plate as a junior for the Cowboys, hitting .290 and smashing 21 home runs to go along with 57 RBIs and a .633 slugging percentage.
The center fielder leads the Big 12 Conference in homers, while ranking second in RBIs and third in slugging percentage and total bases (140). Boone’s 21 homers were the most by a Cowboy in a season since Corey Brown’s 22 in 2007 and currently rank 12th in the NCAA this season.
A native of Tulsa, Boone helped lead OSU to a 40-21 record in 2019 that included the fifth NCAA Super Regional berth in program history. He was an 18th-round pick of the Colorado Rockies in last week’s Major League Baseball Draft.
