IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State’s Trevor Boone (Osage Tribe) collected All-Big 12 Conference First Team honors, and Colin Simpson earned all-league accolades for the third time in his career to lead a group of 10 Cowboys earning 2019 recognition from the league today.
Boone was the Cowboys’ lone All-Big 12 First Team selection, while OSU placed four on the All-Big 12 Second Team.
oone has emerged as one of the nation’s top sluggers in 2019. The junior from Tulsa has smashed a Big 12-best 18 home runs to go along with a .297 batting average, and he leads the Cowboys with 46 RBIs and 17 multi-hit games. Boone’s .674 slugging percentage is tops in the conference, and he ranks second in total bases with 118.
With a pair of three-home run games this season, against Kansas and Texas, Boone set an OSU record as he became the first Cowboy to ever record three three-homer games in a career.
