Oklahoma State’s Trevor Boone (Osage Tribe) is the Big 12 Conference Baseball Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State’s Trevor Boone (Osage Tribe) is the Big 12 Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the 10th week of the season, it was announced today by the league office.

Boone continued his recent power surge in a record-setting week as he helped OSU tie its longest winning streak of the season with four consecutive victories, including a series sweep of No. 19 Texas.

The Cowboys’ junior center fielder hit .462 (6-for-13) on the week with four home runs, eight RBIs, six runs, four walks and a pair of stolen bases. He also posted a 1.385 slugging percentage and tallied 18 total bases.

In the series opener against Texas, Boone rewrote the OSU record book as he became the first player in Cowboy baseball history to hit three homers in a game three times in a career; he previously achieved the feat last week against Kansas and first did it last season against Baylor. In the Pokes’ blowout win in the opener, Boone was 4-for-5 with three homers and five RBIs, and he also scored four runs and stole a base.
